Nick McGraw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeramy Jefferson having to interfere. Léonce Roy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Chaney, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After having played for 28 minutes, Jonathon Samuel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sirdar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathon Samuel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Nick McGraw made the kick off in the second half. Orville Hartman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Sirdar's supporters rose to their feet, but Nick McGraw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeramy Jefferson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
