Orlando Aupry received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Colton Laderoute came out and tried to block the shot, but Orlando Aupry slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. Randal Donahue hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Toronto SC's goalkeeper Colton Laderoute had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orlando Aupry. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Colton Laderoute successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Colton Laderoute showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Friend, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Geraldo Friend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Geraldo Friend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caledonia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geraldo Friend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Toronto SC's Ramon Franco got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremiah Cardona to strike the kick off in the second half. Orlando Aupry kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Jeremiah Cardona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Willy Frank was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jeremiah Cardona showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 65 minute of play. Willy Frank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremiah Cardona in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geraldo Friend in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Colton Laderoute prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Toronto SC's Emmitt Dick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Willy Frank narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Jeremiah Cardona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremiah Cardona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willy Frank having to interfere. After 87 minutes, Mitchell Lussier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toronto SC and the Caledonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Orlando Aupry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caledonia were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
