Spectators: 6758 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julius Castle started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute of the match Floyd Kidd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Barrett Corbeil skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jacob Doty in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jamie Hurley saved Dover FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Robin Gee's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jamie Hurley was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Jeromy Larson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes, Jean Conroy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laval AFC and the Dover FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th match minute, Laval AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jean Conroy to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 18 minutes, Jeromy Larson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dover FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeromy Larson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lloyd Rudd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 played minutes Dover FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerrod Lévesque. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laval AFC's goalkeeper Barrett Corbeil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julius Castle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacob Doty to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Laval AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Art Dufresne to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Agustin Johnson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dover FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Johnson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barrett Corbeil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barrett Corbeil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeromy Larson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dover FC's Jamie Hurley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Doty in the 65th minute of play. After 68 played minutes Dover FC got a freekick which was hit by Lloyd Rudd. After having played for 75 minutes, Julius Castle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dover FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julius Castle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 76 played minutes Laval AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Bowen. In the 78th match minute, Laval AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommie Quick to maneuver through the defense. If Robin Gee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglass Larkin kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Julius Castle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Barrett Corbeil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Minh Fitch hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The Laval AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
