The long shot by Vince Berthiaume in the 7th minute really tested Paul Charrette's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Ferrier AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jamar McFarland came free, but Paul Charrette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Irwin Carrington hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Devon Long had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Quentin Laforest hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hershel Dube received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Paul Charrette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Paul Charrette managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Bilby AFC's Hershel Dube fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 26 minutes into the match, Bilby AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Devon Long came free, but Loup Marcum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Jamar McFarland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jamar McFarland came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Bilby AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamar McFarland couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Jamar McFarland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Charrette was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 42 minutes in the game, Devon Long dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ferrier AFC's Paul Charrette proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Ferrier AFC from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Larry Babcock stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Willie Pariseau hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Bilby AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Larry Babcock came free, but Loup Marcum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 57 in the game by Devon Long from a close distance when the talented Loup Marcum managed to make a qualified save. Bilby AFC's players were relieved. Loup Marcum was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alfredo Hachée. When Devon Long came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Ferrier AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Devon Long couldn't finish the play. Devon Long fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loup Marcum having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Larry Babcock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferrier AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Larry Babcock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Bilby AFC defense, Devon Long kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Loup Marcum. The Bilby AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Loup Marcum should have stopped the shot. In the 79th minute, Jamar McFarland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bilby AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Larry Babcock kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Devon Long sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Charrette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hershel Dube, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Bilby AFC's Willie Pariseau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paul Charrette narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
