The Gooderham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Gino Shea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elvin Couturier was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Gooderham's Rupert Stein sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hoyt Helms narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Cupar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gooderham:s goal. In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Gooderham. Clinton Lester stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hoyt Helms. 3-1. Felix Goulet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herb Ricard having to interfere. Felix Goulet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Herb Ricard made a huge save. With a little luck, Gooderham's Herb Ricard got control of the ball when Felix Goulet tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cupar's Gino Shea got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Hoyt Helms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rupert Stein in the 88th minute of play. If Travis Chenard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gooderham had won after a very even match.
