Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) Madoc's Riley Dube started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mitch Guérette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burl Fournier in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Madoc's zone, Myron Ruel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitch Guérette came out of the goal and Myron Ruel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Myron Ruel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mitch Guérette having to make a save. When Berthierville AFC's Burl Fournier in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Madoc's goalie prevented a goal. When Boniface Stewart came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Madoc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boniface Stewart couldn't finish the play. Xavier Sims hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Madoc's Kris Sheets got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Riley Dube recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dee Elliot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boniface Stewart in the 40th minute. Riley Dube was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Burl Fournier in the 52nd minute of play forced Madoc's goalkeeper Mitch Guérette to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rodrick Britton fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Madoc's protests and gave Rodrick Britton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd match minute, Madoc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrick Britton to maneuver through the defense. Burl Fournier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Myron Ruel took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mitch Guérette. Mitch Guérette dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Burl Fournier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Burl Fournier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mitch Guérette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boniface Stewart in the 70th minute of play forced Berthierville AFC's goalkeeper Dee Elliot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Burl Fournier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berthierville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Burl Fournier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitch Guérette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Jamey Nash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renaldo Souplet didn't quite understand what happened when in the 77 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 79 minutes into the match, Madoc's Riley Dube sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dee Elliot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 83rdth minute of the game Boniface Stewart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berthierville AFC's Dee Elliot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sheldon Charpie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dee Elliot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Dee Elliot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boniface Stewart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
