The referee ignored Berthierville AFC's protests and gave Scottie Madison a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ivugivik booed when Berthierville AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scottie Madison didn't get a good kick on the ball. Myron Ruel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Myron Ruel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Chase Rowe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Myron Ruel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berthierville AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Myron Ruel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Renaldo Souplet's late challenge caught a Ivugivik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renaldo Souplet helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Berthierville AFC! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Ivugivik. Art Keenan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dee Elliot. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Norbert made a kick off. Chase Rowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burl Fournier in the 55th minute of the match. If Myron Ruel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theirn Houser struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Dee Elliot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Ivugivik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Scottie Madison was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Dee Elliot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Norbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dee Elliot came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Ivugivik's Theirn Houser. But to his dismay, Theirn Houser quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Frederic Capps hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Ivan Norbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Myron Ruel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chase Rowe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Berthierville AFC defense, Theirn Houser kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dee Elliot. The Berthierville AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dee Elliot should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the game, Theirn Houser cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Dee Elliot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chase Rowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Myron Ruel, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Norbert in the 97th minute of play forced Berthierville AFC's goalkeeper Dee Elliot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ivugivik walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
