Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rodrigo Broussard got the match started through his kick off. Cesar Sharpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Broussard in the 4th minute of play. Cesar Sharpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Cartier in the 20th minute of the match. When Wellington's Neal Sauriol in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Charlottetown AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Wellington's Neal Sauriol got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Charlottetown AFC's Rodrigo Broussard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cesar Sharpe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cesar Sharpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Cartier in the 30th minute of the match. Israel Cartier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Israel Cartier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesar Sharpe having to interfere. Manuel Deblois fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Manuel having to interfere. Cesar Sharpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Cartier in the 40th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Israel Cartier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cesar Sharpe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Neal Sauriol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Neal Sauriol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Manuel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neal Sauriol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Norberto Manuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wellington's Cesar Sharpe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Broussard in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Wellington's Neal Sauriol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norberto Manuel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. When Manuel Deblois came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Wellington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Deblois couldn't finish the play. If Manuel Deblois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Charlottetown AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Neal Sauriol came free, but Norberto Manuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wellington's goalkeeper Cesar Sharpe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Rodrigo Broussard took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Cesar Sharpe to make any attempt to save it. Norberto Manuel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neal Sauriol in the 94th minute of the match. The Wellington fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Charlottetown AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
