Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) Dodsland's Douglas Boyd started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Neal Sauriol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellington's supporters rose to their feet, but Neal Sauriol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mason Sanders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dodsland's goalkeeper Mason Sanders, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Deblois in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mason Sanders saved Dodsland from getting behind. When Manuel Deblois came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Wellington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Deblois couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Dodsland's zone, Neal Sauriol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mason Sanders came out of the goal and Neal Sauriol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neal Sauriol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesar Sharpe made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Robt Lépicier sent off a good shot on target. Robt Lépicier succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 21st playminute. Robt Lépicier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cesar Sharpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mason Sanders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Deblois in the 25th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Robt Lépicier ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cesar Sharpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Neal Sauriol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesar Sharpe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robt Lépicier went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. If Robt Lépicier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Sharpe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robt Lépicier in the 45th minute. Tod Addison's late challenge caught a Wellington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tod Addison helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute, Tod Addison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neal Sauriol made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Deblois got free with Mason Sanders in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Neal Sauriol in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mason Sanders saved Dodsland from getting behind. Robt Lépicier struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Cesar Sharpe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dodsland. Cesar Sharpe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robt Lépicier in the 60th minute of play. Mason Sanders made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Deblois in the 69th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robt Lépicier couldn't finish the play. Cesar Sharpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Boyd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Manuel Deblois came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Wellington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Deblois couldn't finish the play. Wellington's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
