Augustin Grondin hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Colin Aubé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Augustin Grondin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Colin Aubé got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Israel Cartier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amado Land fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Manuel having to interfere. When Clement Wade fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stonewall AFC's protests and gave Clement Wade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute, Clement Wade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Broussard might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronnie Starr. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Broussard ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodrigo Broussard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Starr having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Israel Cartier made a precise shot to the right of Ronnie Starr. Stonewall AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After the first half Charlottetown AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Colin Aubé to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Charlottetown AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hung Parson. Colin Aubé scored 1-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norberto Manuel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colin Aubé in the 59th minute of play forced Charlottetown AFC's goalkeeper Norberto Manuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Manuel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Land in the 63rd minute of the match. When Amado Land got free in front of the goal in the 65th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Norberto Manuel was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. A collision led to Stonewall AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Aimé Winters hit a great ball. Charlottetown AFC's Rodrigo Broussard got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Broussard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Starr having to interfere. Norberto Manuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Land in the 74th minute of play. Ronnie Starr didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Israel Cartier went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. When Humbert Douffett fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Charlottetown AFC's protests and gave Humbert Douffett a yellow card for diving instead. Clement Wade, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Amado Land received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Norberto Manuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto Manuel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Land in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Charlottetown AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
