The tension between the Belleville and the Charlottetown AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Belleville's Marc Eastman got a free kick in the 4th minute. After having played for 6 minutes, Rodrigo Broussard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charlottetown AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Broussard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Norberto Manuel came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Belleville's Pierre Beatty. But to his dismay, Pierre Beatty quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Belleville's Ian Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Broussard in the 24th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Israel Cartier notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Belleville's Ian Santana. Ian Santana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, Bryan Espinosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberto Manuel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Ian Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Broussard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ian Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Broussard in the 42nd minute of play. Norberto Manuel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pierre Beatty went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Ian Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Israel Cartier in the 51st minute of the match. When Jonah Goudreau fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belleville's protests and gave Jonah Goudreau a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Jonah Goudreau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Charlottetown AFC got a corner. Belleville's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hung Parson ran over to the corner to take the kick. With an all-out effort, Belleville's Norberto Manuel threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pierre Beatty, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre Beatty in the 69th minute of play forced Charlottetown AFC's goalkeeper Norberto Manuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Broussard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Belleville booed when Charlottetown AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Lamy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Pierre Beatty who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Charlottetown AFC's Norberto Manuel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
