Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Perceval Hodges kicked off to start the match. If Neal Sauriol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7th minute Neal Sauriol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kelly Landis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Carter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Cesar Sharpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perceval Hodges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the game, Modestine Riley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Therien's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wellington the free kick. The supporters of Wellington booed when Therien was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modestine Riley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilburn Romero's late challenge caught a Wellington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilburn Romero helped the player get up and apologised. Manuel Deblois didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 20th minute. Wellington's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 23rd minute, Bertram LondeLalonde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neal Sauriol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neal Sauriol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kelly Landis having to interfere. If Manuel Deblois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Modestine Riley hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. With his leg Kelly Landis managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Wellington's Manuel Deblois fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 38th minute, Tommy Carter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cesar Sharpe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Carter, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Neal Sauriol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kelly Landis having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Neal Sauriol struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Kelly Landis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellington. Neal Sauriol kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to Therien getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Wilburn Romero hit a great ball. Manuel Deblois received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Kelly Landis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neal Sauriol in the 91st minute of play forced Therien's goalkeeper Kelly Landis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
