In the 23rd match minute, Therien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilburn Romero to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes, Dodsland's Jimmie Schultz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kelly Landis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dodsland reached it. After 25 played minutes Therien got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Carter. In the 28th minute, one of Dodsland:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dodsland. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Therien. Miles Sapp stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mason Sanders. 0-1. Jimmie Schultz kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Miles Sapp led 35 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Dodsland's Mason Sanders became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-2. Granville Goodson kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Wilburn Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Douglas Boyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Therien's Kelly Landis got control of the ball when Robt Lépicier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dodsland's Mason Sanders proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Dodsland from getting a goal against them. Robt Lépicier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Therien's goal looked a bit too open when Robt Lépicier came free, but Kelly Landis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Robt Lépicier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dodsland's supporters rose to their feet, but Robt Lépicier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kelly Landis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Perceval Hodges in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mason Sanders saved Dodsland from getting behind. Perceval Hodges struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Mason Sanders didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Therien. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Perceval Hodges in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mason Sanders saved Dodsland from getting behind. A collision led to Dodsland getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Granville Goodson hit a great ball. Mason Sanders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilburn Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Therien's Mason Sanders threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Perceval Hodges, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tommy Carter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mason Sanders having to make a save. A well placed Perceval Hodges short distance shot in the 87th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. The Therien players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
