Ronnie Starr was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tod Bureau hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Stonewall AFC's Clement Wade tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Quentin Sorensen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ronnie Starr made a huge save. Colin Aubé recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quentin Sorensen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ronnie Starr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Souris's Miles Fischer in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stonewall AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Jermaine Parr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colin Aubé, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. If Miles Fischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miles Fischer in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronnie Starr saved Stonewall AFC from getting behind. In the 36th minute Miles Fischer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Starr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miles Fischer to make the kick off. Souris's Luc Hutchins suffered a concussion after 55 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Galen Maddox during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Stonewall AFC's zone, Quentin Sorensen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronnie Starr came out of the goal and Quentin Sorensen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Stonewall AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Miles Fischer came free, but Ronnie Starr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stonewall AFC's Ronnie Starr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quentin Sorensen in the 71st minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Quentin Sorensen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. In the 80th minute Colin Aubé shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jermaine Parr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Souris booed when Stonewall AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Curt Schwartz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sammie Andrade's late challenge caught a Stonewall AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sammie Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute, Sammie Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Stonewall AFC's Clement Wade broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Amado Lands short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Jermaine Parr to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
