In the 15th match minute, Therien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modestine Riley to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Broussard in the 17th minute of play forced Therien's goalkeeper Kelly Landis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Therien's Perceval Hodges got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Israel Cartier scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kelly Landis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Achille Hanks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Charlottetown AFC's Hung Parson tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Israel Cartier struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Kelly Landis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlottetown AFC. When Charlottetown AFC's Rodrigo Broussard in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Therien's goalie prevented a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Therien's Tommy Carter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norberto Manuel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 42 minutes, Daren Zimmer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charlottetown AFC and the Therien players grew even worse after the yellow card. Norberto Manuel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Therien. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Perceval Hodges to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Everett Mack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Broussard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kelly Landis having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Charlottetown AFC's Humbert Douffett got a free kick in the 65th minute. Israel Cartier got in the 70th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Kelly Landis handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Perceval Hodges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Carter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Norberto Manuel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rodrigo Broussard came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Charlottetown AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Broussard couldn't finish the play. Rodrigo Broussard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Therien players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Charlottetown AFC.
