In the 27th minute, Grégoire Best got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lloydminster's Grégoire Best got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maxwell Curtis got free with Vern Smiley in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Hecate FC's Désiré Rowland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bertrand Dumas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Stout in the 54th minute of play forced Lloydminster's goalkeeper Bertrand Dumas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertrand Dumas came out and tried to block the shot, but Shawn Stout slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Hecate FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Philibert Trotter hit a great ball. Lloydminster were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Hecate FC to leave the ground with a draw.
