Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Shawn Stout started the match with the kick off. Etobicoke's Clyde Maher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Désiré Rowland in the 2nd minute of play. Shawn Stout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Clyde Maher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Désiré Rowland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hecate FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 19th minute Joel Sirois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vern Smiley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Etobicoke. Deandre Booth stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vern Smiley. 1-1. If Cortez Adair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes in the game, Cortez Adair fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vern Smiley having to interfere. Cortez Adair struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Vern Smiley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Etobicoke. Etobicoke's Cortez Adair got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hecate FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Joel Sirois scored to the left of an out of position Vern Smiley, making the score, 2-1. In the 41st minute Désiré Rowland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clyde Maher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Sirois was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Désiré Rowland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hecate FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Désiré Rowland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clyde Maher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Sirois recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cortez Adair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Stout in the 68th minute of play forced Etobicoke's goalkeeper Clyde Maher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Sirois took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vern Smiley. Vern Smiley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Cortez Adair struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Vern Smiley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Etobicoke. If Cortez Adair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shawn Stout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Désiré Rowland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hecate FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Vern Smiley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Sirois, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Etobicoke fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hecate FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
