Ruel's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Bertrand Dumas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ira Khan in the 16th minute of the match. When Didier Stoner came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Lloydminster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didier Stoner couldn't finish the play. Bertrand Dumas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ira Khan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxwell Curtis hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Jon Pépin kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The freekick set the score to 1-0 when Theodore Ramos hit the ball, which find its way into goal behind a disappointed Bertrand Dumas. Harrison Pepper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertrand Dumas having to interfere. After 36 minutes of play, Lloydminster's Grégoire Best made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tuan Ventura was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the game, one of Ruel:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Didier Stoner to strike the kick off in the second half. Tuan Ventura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didier Stoner in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Harrison Pepper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Harrison Pepper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harrison Pepper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lloydminster's Bertrand Dumas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colby Quinn in the 64th minute of play. Colby Quinn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Colby Quinn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertrand Dumas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Ira Khan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
