In the 3rd minute, Seth Hilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rodrigue Kerns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Alton McCann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aristide Whaley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 31 played minutes Spiritwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Shayne Callahan. The Spiritwood FC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Spiritwood FC's Rodrigue Kerns looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edmundo Palmer made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Victor Barnett sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigue Kerns scored 2-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmundo Palmer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 55th minute, Rodrigue Kerns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigue Kerns in the 58th minute of play forced Arichat FC's goalkeeper Edmundo Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match, Alton McCann tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aristide Whaley saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristopher Robbins in the 67th minute of play forced Spiritwood FC's goalkeeper Aristide Whaley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alton McCann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Whaley having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bud Schmitt during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes Spiritwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Bud Schmitt. Aristide Whaley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thibault Mata in the 72nd minute. Thibault Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Whaley having to interfere. If Alton McCann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Arichat FC's zone, Rodrigue Kerns stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmundo Palmer came out of the goal and Rodrigue Kerns tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Palmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigue Kerns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thibault Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Aristide Whaley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alton McCann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristide Whaley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Victor Barnett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Edmundo Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
