Jermaine McAllister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clyde Maher having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Leroy Singh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thetford AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leroy Singh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clyde Maher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clyde Maher made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Jermaine McAllister sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th match minute, Etobicoke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerrold Dodge to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Thetford AFC booed when Etobicoke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerrold Dodge didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Jermaine McAllister managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thetford AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jermaine McAllister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clyde Maher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Etobicoke's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leroy Singh 25 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Cortez Adair recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kraig Chartré took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cortez Adair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Etobicoke's Clyde Maher got control of the ball when Jermaine McAllister tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leroy Singh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Leroy Singh made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Jermaine McAllister's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clyde Maher was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The supporters of Thetford AFC booed when Etobicoke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Sirois didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Thetford AFC defense, Cortez Adair kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kraig Chartré. The Thetford AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kraig Chartré should have stopped the shot. Cortez Adair might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kraig Chartré. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cortez Adair ran back to his position shaking his head. When Thetford AFC's Leroy Singh in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Etobicoke's goalie prevented a goal. In the 74th play minute Cortez Adair came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kraig Chartré. 1-2. In the 79th minute Leroy Singh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clyde Maher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leroy Singh in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clyde Maher saved Etobicoke from getting behind. Kraig Chartré showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Sirois in the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Cortez Adair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Etobicoke's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cortez Adair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, Cortez Adair cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Kraig Chartré was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Thetford AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Etobicoke's performance. The match ended with a win for Etobicoke.
