The audience was convinced that Bryant Brannon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Columbus Canales was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sylvester Peck to make the kick off. Columbus Canales came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Weberville FC's Sylvester Peck. But to his dismay, Sylvester Peck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Sylvester Peck might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Columbus Canales. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sylvester Peck ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Weberville FC booed when Quetico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeffry Sterling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bryant Brannon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Sylvester Peck fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sylvester Peck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Columbus Canales having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sylvester Peck in the 76th minute of play forced Quetico's goalkeeper Columbus Canales to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Maynard Boudreaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Sylvester Peck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Columbus Canales was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Weberville FC's Bryant Brannon got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Mabry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maynard Boudreaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Weberville FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
