Cloverdale's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmund Rosas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 12th minute, Samuel Whitney got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Saskatoon's Claude Coley got control of the ball when Jacinto Meunier tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute, Evrard Cameron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmund Rosas struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Derick Loiseau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saskatoon. Cloverdale's Derick Loiseau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Rosas in the 24th minute of play. If Jacinto Meunier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porfirio Wilkins hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Claude Coley made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Jacinto Meunier sent off a good shot on target. Cloverdale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Whitney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jacob Bériault kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. In the 99th minute Samuel Whitney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Coley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
