Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Isidore Kearney started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Victoria Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Warner Grier to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Marshall Santana from long distance, 4 minutes into the match, got Orval Rubin's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 6th minute Séverin Lin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orval Rubin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 8 minutes, Liu Zheng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Victoria Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liu Zheng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Rene Roach had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Bélair. Lodge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rene Roach was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Rene Roach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 23 minutes, Eric Wenerdahl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Victoria Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Wenerdahl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th match minute, Lodge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Hartman to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th match minute, Victoria Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quinton Hinson to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, Gordon Baron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Victoria Wolves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lodge the free kick. 30 minutes into the game, one of Victoria Wolves:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 32nd minute of the game, Lodge got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. 36 minutes into the game, Victoria Wolves's Eric Wenerdahl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robert Bélair made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liu Zheng in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert Bélair saved Lodge from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidore Kearney in the 46th minute of play forced Victoria Wolves's goalkeeper Orval Rubin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liu Zheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liu Zheng was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Eric Wenerdahl kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Robert Bélair. That made the score 1-4 in the 52 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Victoria Wolves's Feng Sang Bing got a free kick in the 54th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liu Zheng in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert Bélair saved Lodge from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Lodge's Gayle Ladner got a free kick in the 58th minute. When Victoria Wolves's Liu Zheng in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lodge's goalie prevented a goal. In the 64th minute Waldo Paquette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orval Rubin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liu Zheng struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Robert Bélair didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Victoria Wolves. Rene Roach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Bélair read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Lodge's Robert Bélair proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Lodge from getting a goal against them. Liu Zheng who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Robert Bélair when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Victoria Wolves's Rene Roach got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Lodge's Robert Bélair got control of the ball when Rene Roach tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Victoria Wolves's Liu Zheng in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lodge's goalie prevented a goal. If Liu Zheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rene Roach came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Victoria Wolves fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Roach couldn't finish the play. Liu Zheng in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Robert Bélair, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Feng Sang Bing scored 1-5 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Bélair, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 95 minutes, Bobbie Dobson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Victoria Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bobbie Dobson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victoria Wolves's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
