Mel Lejeune showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedict Cunningham in the 14th minute of the match. Patrick Yarbrough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mel Lejeune having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chesterfield AFC's zone, Patrick Yarbrough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mel Lejeune came out of the goal and Patrick Yarbrough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Patrick Garnier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chesterfield AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Garnier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Finley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Palmer Bingham struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Elias Finley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chesterfield AFC. After some careless play in the Colborne FC defense, Terrence Pelchat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Finley. The Colborne FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Finley should have stopped the shot. Mel Lejeune made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedict Cunningham in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benedict Cunningham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Travis Cabrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 53 minutes, Patrick Garnier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chesterfield AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrick Garnier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benedict Cunningham took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mel Lejeune. Mel Lejeune dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Elias Finley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Garnier in the 75th minute of play. Palmer Bingham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Elias Finley made a huge save. Benedict Cunningham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mel Lejeune having to make a save. Benedict Cunningham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Patrick Yarbrough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Patrick Yarbrough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Chesterfield AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
