The Victoria Wolves fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Victoria Wolves's Liu Zheng got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Goldpines's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Roach came free, but Tony Decker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes Victoria Wolves got a freekick which was hit by Gordon Baron. Tony Decker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Wenerdahl in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tory Ritter in the 23rd minute of play forced Victoria Wolves's goalkeeper Orval Rubin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liu Zheng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Decker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Victoria Wolves's Orval Rubin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Victoria Wolves from getting a goal against them. Tony Decker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feng Sang Bing in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, Goldpines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Baxter to maneuver through the defense. 33 minutes into the match, Goldpines's goal looked a bit too open when Ludovic Pavot came free, but Tony Decker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Victoria Wolves booed when Goldpines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bud Galloway didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tony Decker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liu Zheng's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Goldpines's zone, Liu Zheng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Decker came out of the goal and Liu Zheng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Liu Zheng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Decker was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After having played for 43 minutes, Rene Roach managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Victoria Wolves's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Roach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feng Sang Bing in the 46th minute of play forced Goldpines's goalkeeper Tony Decker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liu Zheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Victoria Wolves were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Liu Zheng to strike the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Liu Zheng mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Victoria Wolves and the Goldpines players grew even worse after the yellow card. Orval Rubin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jamey Snider went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute, Feng Sang Bing made a precise shot to the right of Tony Decker. Goldpines's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Victoria Wolves made a substitution. Bobbie Dobson replaced Ludovic Pavot. 88 minutes into the match, Victoria Wolves's Liu Zheng sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Decker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Liu Zheng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tony Decker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
