The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Devin Landry during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Shawenegan FC got a freekick which was hit by Devin Landry. Dupuy's Tod Vernon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Shawenegan FC. After 7 played minutes Dupuy got a freekick which was hit by Franklyn Meunier. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shawenegan FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tod Vernon was slow to take the kick. During this time Dupuy's players had a chance to rest. Dupuy's Tod Vernon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Shelton Ménard in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Dwain Gagné hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the game, Lucio Gibbs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dupuy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shawenegan FC the free kick. A collision led to Dupuy getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lucio Gibbs hit a great ball. When Shawenegan FC's Sanford Gauthier in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dupuy's goalie prevented a goal. Stanton Loiseau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tuan Létourneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucio Gibbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Dupuy's goal looked a bit too open when Stanton Loiseau came free, but Tuan Létourneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Shawenegan FC. Porter McCord stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tuan Létourneau. 0-1. In the 36th minute, Craig Pittman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanford Gauthier in the 42nd minute of play forced Dupuy's goalkeeper Tuan Létourneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanton Loiseau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stanton Loiseau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuan Létourneau having to interfere. A collision led to Dupuy getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Basil Farr hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Lucio Gibbs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shawenegan FC's Shelton Ménard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Lucio Gibbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brandon Daugherty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Shelton Ménard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Franklyn Meunier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Stanton Loiseau fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Tuan Létourneau. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Shawenegan FC's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sanford Gauthier in the 79th minute of play forced Dupuy's goalkeeper Tuan Létourneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucio Gibbs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shawenegan FC's Stanton Loiseau got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sanford Gauthier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tuan Létourneau having to interfere. Sanford Gauthier was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 92 minutes into the match, Shawenegan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brandon Daugherty came free, but Shelton Ménard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dupuy's goalkeeper Tuan Létourneau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 93 minutes into the game, Franklyn Meunier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dupuy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shawenegan FC the free kick. 98 minutes into the match, Dupuy's Lucio Gibbs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shelton Ménard narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
