The audience was convinced that Christian Carpenter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sang McLaughlin was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Federico Medrano hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Francesco Inman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Carpenter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Medrano's late challenge caught a Portapique AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Medrano helped the player get up and apologised. After 27 played minutes Bretona got a freekick which was hit by Federico Medrano. With a little luck, Portapique AFC's Stacy Montoya got control of the ball when Ismael McDaniel tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Bretona booed when Portapique AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grégoire Simmons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Portapique AFC's Stacy Montoya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cedric Lemaître in the 35th minute of play. If Cedric Lemaître had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stacy Montoya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedric Lemaître, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Cedric Lemaître fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stacy Montoya having to interfere.

The wind increased when Cedric Lemaître made the kick off in the second half. If Francesco Inman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francesco Inman got free with Sang McLaughlin in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Grégoire Simmons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Portapique AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael McDaniel came free, but Stacy Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael McDaniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael McDaniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stacy Montoya having to interfere. Stacy Montoya came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Bretona's Cedric Lemaître. But to his dismay, Cedric Lemaître quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 83 minutes into the match, Portapique AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael McDaniel came free, but Stacy Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sang McLaughlin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Francesco Inman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 87 minute of play. Sang McLaughlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Carpenter, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Bretona's Sang McLaughlin got control of the ball when Francesco Inman tried to sneak it across the goal line.
