Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Shawenegan FC's Shelton Ménard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marty Chalifour in the 5th minute of play. If Abe Waldron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abe Waldron in the 12th minute of play forced Shawenegan FC's goalkeeper Shelton Ménard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Keven Keen managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when Shawenegan FC's Stanton Loiseau fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Shelton Ménard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Chalifour in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Marty Chalifour's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shelton Ménard was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the match, Shawenegan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Chalifour came free, but Shelton Ménard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvin Louis hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Porter McCord got in the 42nd minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Keven Keen and thus it was 1-0. In the 47th minute, David Brock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Porter McCord fired a really elegant long shot, but Keven Keen threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post.

The wind increased when Marty Chalifour made the kick off in the second half. Sanford Gauthier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the game, Ollie Émond was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tangent's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shawenegan FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tangent fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Sanford Gauthier struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Keven Keen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shawenegan FC. Keith Guidry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Shelton Ménard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tangent's Abe Waldron in 72 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Shelton Ménard guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 74 minutes into the match, Stanton Loiseau notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Tangent's Keven Keen. Keven Keen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sanford Gauthier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Keven Keen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Stanton Loiseau, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Keven Keen was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of Tangent booed when Shawenegan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devin Landry didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Shawenegan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marty Chalifour came free, but Shelton Ménard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abe Waldron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Shawenegan FC had won after a very even match.
