If Abe Waldron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alphonso Milligan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abe Waldron, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Abe Waldron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alphonso Milligan having to interfere. Marty Chalifour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alphonso Milligan having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felicien Esquivel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Keven Keen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Branden Hood in the 77th minute of play. Brooks AFC's Eustaquio Drouin got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abe Waldrons short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Alphonso Milligan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Alphonso Milligan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 87th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Elvin Louis. Keith Guidry charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keith Guidry the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Keith Guidry kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Abe Waldron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tangent's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abe Waldron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
