Andrea Mendoza made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Lester Walsh sent off a good shot on target. Ermenegilde Love's late challenge caught a Waskatenau's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ermenegilde Love helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Waskatenau booed when Antigonish AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermenegilde Love didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Clifton Grimard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes Antigonish AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anselme Pinette. Corin Corbin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donald Holliday having to interfere. Corin Corbin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Donald Holliday made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lester Walsh in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrea Mendoza saved Waskatenau from getting behind. A collision led to Waskatenau getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Quentin Chandonnet hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Waskatenau defense, Luigi Bailey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrea Mendoza. The Waskatenau fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrea Mendoza should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Antigonish AFC's Donald Holliday got control of the ball when Corin Corbin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clifton Grimard during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th minute of the match Raphaël Leclerc sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donald Holliday skillfully saved the ball. After 86 played minutes Waskatenau got a freekick which was hit by Dee Deal. 89 minutes into the game, Jerald Rubin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
