The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Thornhill's Cory Wooten got a free kick in the 4th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Minitonas AFC's goalkeeper Hilario Keys had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kristopher Roman. Norbert Tuttle kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Jonas Blackman had several of the Minitonas AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 15 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Hilario Keys as he didn't even see the shot coming. Hilario Keys took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Blackman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Bart Clay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norbert Tuttle charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norbert Tuttle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Minitonas AFC's Norbert Tuttle got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Jonas Blackman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donte Darling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gratien Davies, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gratien Davies's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donte Darling was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. If Hippolyte Harrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hippolyte Harrington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Thornhill's goal looked a bit too open when Gratien Davies came free, but Donte Darling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristopher Roman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hilario Keys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gratien Davies made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Jonas Blackman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thornhill fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Hippolyte Harrington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gratien Davies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonas Blackman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Keys having to interfere. Kristopher Roman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Blackman in the 76th minute of play forced Minitonas AFC's goalkeeper Hilario Keys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thornhill's Donte Darling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Thornhill from getting a goal against them. Minitonas AFC's Hippolyte Harrington got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 82 played minutes Thornhill got a freekick which was hit by Felix Triplett. Jonas Blackman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Keys having to interfere. If Jonas Blackman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hilario Keys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristopher Roman in the 89th minute of the match. Hilario Keys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristopher Roman in the 92nd minute of play. If Kristopher Roman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Blackman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Minitonas AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
