Spectators: 6727 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) Headquarters's Emilio Hamm started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 12 played minutes Matador got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Pitts. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Headquarters's goalkeeper Lane Davignon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eli Ingram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Merle Chan charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Merle Chan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, Headquarters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merle Chan to maneuver through the defense. Matador's Doyle Andrews couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Headquarters. After a rather tough play, Matador's Marcus Darden got a free kick in the 31st minute. Osvaldo Andersens short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Warren Reece to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After the first half Matador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Marcus Darden made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Eli Ingram dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lane Davignon, 0-2. When Matador's Marcus Darden in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Headquarters's goalie prevented a goal. Marcus Darden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Hamm struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Warren Reece didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Headquarters. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Andreas Lester managed to get in a good position for a shot. Headquarters's supporters rose to their feet, but Andreas Lester was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warren Reece breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lane Davignon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 74th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Forrest Perdue. With a little luck, Headquarters's Lane Davignon got control of the ball when Eli Ingram tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emilio Hamm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Reece having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Osvaldo Andersen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Warren Reece was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Headquarters's zone, Eli Ingram stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lane Davignon came out of the goal and Eli Ingram tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Warren Reece made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Andersen in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Matador's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Hamm came free, but Warren Reece reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Andersen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Reece having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Matador walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
