Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dwayne Corbin kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Merrickville FC's Jules Price got a free kick in the 6th minute. Sydney McKinney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Merrickville FC's zone, Sydney McKinney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwardo Conley came out of the goal and Sydney McKinney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Dwayne Corbin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shalalth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dwayne Corbin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Victor Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shalalth's Hollis Horton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Santana in the 34th minute of play. Victor Santana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Hollis Horton made a huge save. With his leg Hollis Horton managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Merrickville FC's Garrett Cunningham fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Dwayne Corbin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Dwayne Corbin sped through Merrickville FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edwardo Conley.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Santana was the one to do the kick off. After 57 minutes, Renato Guillory mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shalalth and the Merrickville FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Renato Guillory kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Santana in the 60th minute of play forced Shalalth's goalkeeper Hollis Horton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edwardo Conley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dwayne Corbin in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Tim Burgos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shalalth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merrickville FC the free kick. 66 minutes into the game, one of Shalalth:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 74th minute Garrett Cunningham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hollis Horton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney McKinney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwardo Conley having to interfere. In the 79th minute of the match, Dwayne Corbin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edwardo Conley saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Victor Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Merrickville FC's Edwardo Conley got control of the ball when Sydney McKinney tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
