Mariano Harquin struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Rick Charest didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whitkow. After having played for 47 minutes, Darryl Daley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitkow's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darryl Daley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Harquin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game Jonathon Pritchett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Whitkow's Gaston Harquin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 60 minutes, Gonzalo Shockley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Whitkow and the Keene FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raphaël Steele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gaston Harquin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathon Pritchett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Harquin having to interfere. Jonathon Pritchett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Whitkow's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
