The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andreas Hairston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Harquin, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Whitkow's Mariano Harquin got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romain Bernal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ali Blevins took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gaston Harquin. Whitkow's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Whitkow fans cheered their team off the field, for while Norman AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
