Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Fontas's Graham McLean started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Thierry Zapata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burstall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thierry Zapata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Del Fischer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilford Jacobsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graham McLean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Del Fischer came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Fontas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Del Fischer couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the game, Robbie Godin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Burstall's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fontas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Burstall's Robbie Godin got a free kick in the 13th minute. Wilford Jacobsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Del Fischer, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Onesime Ritchie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 19th minute, Onesime Ritchie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juste Pate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickie Stevenson, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Del Fischer struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Wilford Jacobsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fontas. Graham McLean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 minutes of play Fontas's Onesime Ritchie was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Onesime Ritchie kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Burstall's Rickie Stevenson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Juste Pate but with some difficulty. Juste Pate was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Elisha Terry capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elisha Terry really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Elisha Terry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Juste Pate tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elisha Terry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rickie Stevenson hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Del Fischer in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilford Jacobsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elisha Terry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The wind increased when Elisha Terry made the kick off in the second half. Del Fischer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Elisha Terry came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Burstall fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elisha Terry couldn't finish the play. In the 56th minute, Del Fischer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 61 minutes of play, Burstall's Elisha Terry made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juste Pate was left in no man's land by his defense there! Del Fischer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilford Jacobsen having to interfere. Fontas's Juste Pate played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thierry Zapata in the 70th minute of play. If Reuben Larocque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilford Jacobsen made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Del Fischer sent off a good shot on target. Del Fischer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute.
