Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pennington's Faustino Sumner started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dariusz Piechna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Stevie Grimm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stevie Grimm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Dominguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Enrique Dominguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie Grimm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Dariusz Piechna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie Grimm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Dariusz Piechna put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Stevie Grimm. When Sterling Vincent fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pennington's protests and gave Sterling Vincent a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Squamish booed when Pennington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lamar Gleason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Cory Vadnais successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 37 minutes into the match, Squamish's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Sumner came free, but Cory Vadnais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Enrique Dominguez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stevie Grimm was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Stevie Grimm came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Squamish's Enrique Dominguez. But to his dismay, Enrique Dominguez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Dominguez to make the kick off. Enrique Dominguez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Stevie Grimm when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dariusz Piechna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 58 minutes into the match, Pennington's goalkeeper Stevie Grimm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Dominguez. If Dariusz Piechna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stevie Grimm made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Dominguez in the 67th minute. Stevie Grimm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Piechna, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 74th minute, Squamish's Dariusz Piechna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stevie Grimm. Stevie Grimm yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. After 78 played minutes Pennington got a freekick which was hit by Keith Dewitt. Stevie Grimm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Piechna in the 81st minute of play. Garry Looney lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 82 minutes into the game, one of Squamish:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Pennington. Randolph Villalobos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cory Vadnais. 1-4. A collision led to Squamish getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Barton Beauchamp hit a great ball.
