Spectators: 6729 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Porter Byers took the kick off in the first half of the match. ILJ Sporting's Pons Britt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Porter Byers in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th match minute, ILJ Sporting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morris Thacker to maneuver through the defense. Pons Britt made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Géraud Burgess sent off a good shot on target. René Desjardins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dale Payne in the 8th minute of play. Oakburn's René Desjardins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Payne in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, ILJ Sporting's Dale Payne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. René Desjardins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pons Britt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porter Byers, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Oakburn's goal looked a bit too open when Kenneth Keyes came free, but René Desjardins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Oakburn's Géraud Burgess sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pons Britt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oakburn's Porter Byers got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pons Britt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Géraud Burgess in the 33rd minute. Géraud Burgess could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Pons Britt made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dale Payne was the one to do the kick off. Dale Payne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. René Desjardins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenneth Keyes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 57th playminute. In the 64th minute, Clarence Pollard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porter Byers in the 70th minute of play forced ILJ Sporting's goalkeeper Pons Britt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oakburn were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after ILJ Sporting's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kent Patel took the corner. The corner led to Oakburn's Stan McKenzie getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Porter Byers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the game, Gerardo Reid was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ILJ Sporting's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oakburn the free kick. In the 76th match minute, ILJ Sporting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Reid to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Oakburn's zone, Dale Payne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. René Desjardins came out of the goal and Dale Payne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Porter Byers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oakburn's supporters rose to their feet, but Porter Byers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pons Britt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Porter Byers succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. In the 95th minute Dale Payne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Desjardins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
