An unexpectedly hard shot by Géraud Burgess in the 7th minute of play forced Murdochville FC's goalkeeper Marcellin Bourgeau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murdochville FC's Bruno Raines got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jesse Holloway might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over René Desjardins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesse Holloway ran back to his position shaking his head. If Jesse Holloway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. René Desjardins made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Bruno Raines sent off a good shot on target. 25 minutes into the match, Murdochville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Géraud Burgess came free, but Marcellin Bourgeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Porter Byers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oakburn's René Desjardins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Holloway in the 29th minute of play. Oakburn's Géraud Burgess got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Porter Byers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Porter Byers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Raines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. René Desjardins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jesse Holloway stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Porter Byers struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Marcellin Bourgeau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oakburn. Bruno Raines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. René Desjardins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Géraud Burgess had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porter Byers succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After 68 played minutes Murdochville FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Raines. If Porter Byers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. René Desjardins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesse Holloway in the 76th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Raines in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck René Desjardins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jesse Holloway had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th match minute, Murdochville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germain Busque to maneuver through the defense. Marcellin Bourgeau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Porter Byers's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porter Byers in the 90th minute of play forced Murdochville FC's goalkeeper Marcellin Bourgeau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Géraud Burgess fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcellin Bourgeau having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Porter Byers in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcellin Bourgeau saved Murdochville FC from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Oakburn had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
