After taking down the ball on Squamish's corner Raphaël Ortiz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and René Desjardins quite easily take care of the ball. Cory Vadnais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porter Byers in the 27th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Squamish got a freekick which was hit by Randall Boisclair. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Géraud Burgess in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cory Vadnais prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31stth minute of the game Dariusz Piechna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oakburn's René Desjardins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 33 in the game by Enrique Dominguez from a close distance when the talented René Desjardins managed to make a qualified save. Oakburn's players were relieved. In the 34thth minute of the game Géraud Burgess who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Squamish's Cory Vadnais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Géraud Burgess's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cory Vadnais was relentless in the 35th minute of the game.
