If Trent Giroux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Lebel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvin Solomon, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After some careless play in the Holden AFC defense, Alvin Solomon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denis Lebel. The Holden AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Lebel should have stopped the shot. When Quentin Kinney came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Masson AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quentin Kinney couldn't finish the play. Alvin Solomon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Quentin Kinney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Denis Lebel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Porfirio Carr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Renato Stockton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Shawn Ladner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holden AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shawn Ladner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Holden AFC's Denis Lebel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvin Solomon in the 25th minute of play. Renato Stockton came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Holden AFC's Shannon Webster. But to his dismay, Shannon Webster quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Quentin Kinney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Denis Lebel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Masson AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Shawn Ladner came free, but Renato Stockton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Quentin Kinney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Lebel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Masson AFC were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Holden AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Quinn Keene took the corner. The corner led Masson AFC's Quinn Keene to fire away a dangerous shot which Denis Lebel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Alvin Solomon made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Porfirio Carr notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Masson AFC's Renato Stockton. Renato Stockton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Milton Burnham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Masson AFC's Alvin Solomon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Renato Stockton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shawn Ladner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, Holden AFC's Porfirio Carr nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renato Stockton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Renato Stockton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shawn Ladner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quentin Kinney got free with Denis Lebel in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvin Solomon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvin Solomon in the 89th minute of play forced Holden AFC's goalkeeper Denis Lebel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Porfirio Carr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porfirio Carr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Stockton having to interfere. Holden AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Masson AFC for a fine match.
