Augustin Shook was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Erick Provencher capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erick Provencher really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Erick Provencher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute of the match Pierre Hamilton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augustin Shook showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erick Provencher in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augustin Shook prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Douglastown's Erick Provencher got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Pentypool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harrison Morris to maneuver through the defense. Augustin Shook was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tracey Montes. In the 21st minute Eric Phaneuf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Shook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The long shot by Tracey Montes in the 23rd minute really tested Augustin Shook's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 26th match minute, Douglastown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tracey Montes to maneuver through the defense. Pierre Hamilton charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pierre Hamilton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pierre Hamilton hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casey Davenport in the 31st minute of play forced Douglastown's goalkeeper Lothaire Petersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casey Davenport received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lothaire Petersen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Eric Phaneuf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglastown's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Phaneuf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augustin Shook breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erick Provencher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Shook having to interfere. If Eric Phaneuf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casey Davenport fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lothaire Petersen having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erick Provencher made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Eric Phaneuf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augustin Shook was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Pentypool FC's Casey Davenport slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lothaire Petersen. That made the score 1-1 after 63 minutes of play. Augustin Shook didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erick Provencher went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Eric Phaneuf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Shook having to interfere. Pentypool FC's Augustin Shook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erick Provencher in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute Erick Provencher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Shook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
