After a defensive mix-up in Anson's zone, Grady Kline stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sterling Weller came out of the goal and Grady Kline tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grady Kline sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sperling's Grady Kline got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Augustin Gregg's late challenge caught a Anson's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augustin Gregg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Anson booed when Sperling was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Gregg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Levi Scott's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Steve Carlton - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 19th minute. If Patricia Trejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaiah Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Carlton having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Grady Kline had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sterling Weller. Anson's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Grady Kline was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Isaiah Morrison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaiah Morrison in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steve Carlton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bryce Keith came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Sperling fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bryce Keith couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Bryce Keith could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Sterling Weller however easily saved by the left post. In the 40th match minute, Sperling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Numbers LondeLalonde to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bryce Keith got free with Sterling Weller in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Anson getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Edmond Velasquez hit a great ball. Emmanuel Lewis has a good long shot, which he once again showed in the 45th minute of the match. Unfortunately the ball hit the outside of the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grady Kline to strike the kick off in the second half. Anson's Nestor Kilgore shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Steve Carlton but with some difficulty. Numbers LondeLalonde charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Numbers LondeLalonde the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th minute, Numbers LondeLalonde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Isaiah Morrison could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Steve Carlton however easily saved by the left post. In the 58th minute, Patricia Trejo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Isaiah Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Carlton having to interfere. Isaiah Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Steve Carlton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaiah Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steve Carlton having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Grady Kline managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sperling's supporters rose to their feet, but Grady Kline was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sterling Weller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryce Keith in the 71st minute of play forced Anson's goalkeeper Sterling Weller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grady Kline sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute Grady Kline shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sterling Weller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 81 in the game by Isaiah Morrison from a close distance when the talented Steve Carlton managed to make a qualified save. Sperling's players were relieved. Patricia Trejo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bryce Keith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grady Kline fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sterling Weller having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
