In the 9th match minute, Anson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricia Trejo to maneuver through the defense. Patricia Trejo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denis Lebel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Anson's goal looked a bit too open when Shawn Ladner came free, but Sterling Weller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Porfirio Carr got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 21 minutes into the match, Patricia Trejo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Holden AFC's Denis Lebel. Denis Lebel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Porfirio Carr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Patricia Trejo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute Patricia Trejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Lebel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tuan Huffman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sterling Weller. Anson's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Anson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmond Velasquez to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Porfirio Carr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Porfirio Carr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sterling Weller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Anson fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Anson's Patricia Trejo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 46th minute Shawn Ladner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sterling Weller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 played minutes Anson got a freekick which was hit by Edmond Velasquez. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Isaiah Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Lebel having to interfere. In the 59th minute Patricia Trejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Lebel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gail Dubois charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gail Dubois the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Anson booed when Holden AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gail Dubois didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Lebel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricia Trejo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 63 minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, Anson's Isaiah Morrison made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Denis Lebel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Shawn Ladner struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Sterling Weller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holden AFC. The referee gave Holden AFC a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tuan Huffman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Anson's Sterling Weller. 1-4. Porfirio Carr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sterling Weller having to interfere. After 86 played minutes, Holden AFC's Tuan Huffman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sterling Weller came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Holden AFC reached it. 2-4 became the score in the 88th minute when Porfirio Carr elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Isaiah Morrison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Lebel having to interfere.
