Denis Lebel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erick Provencher in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Eric Phaneuf made a precise shot to the right of Denis Lebel. Holden AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Douglastown's zone, Porfirio Carr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lothaire Petersen came out of the goal and Porfirio Carr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th match minute, Douglastown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnie Rucker to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Shannon Webster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Aldo Evans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 57th match minute, Douglastown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Loic Kellogg to maneuver through the defense. Erick Provencher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Porfirio Carr cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Lothaire Petersen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Denis Lebel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erick Provencher in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gail Dubois during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th match minute, Holden AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gail Dubois to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erick Provencher in the 71st minute of play forced Holden AFC's goalkeeper Denis Lebel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erick Provencher scored 2-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denis Lebel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
