Spectators: 6738 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 0) Gascons's Léopold Parr started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Léopold Parr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarrett Delong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donatien Schmitt in the 10th minute. Marty Smallwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Guay having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Léopold Parr in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarrett Delong saved McConnel AFC from getting behind. Donatien Schmitt struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jarrett Delong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gascons. Luc Guerrero's late challenge caught a McConnel AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luc Guerrero helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Luc Guerrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, McConnel AFC's Boniface Ladner tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Tristan Brodeur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Donatien Schmitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes, Laurence Harquin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the McConnel AFC and the Gascons players grew even worse after the yellow card. Laurence Harquin hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. With a little luck, McConnel AFC's Jarrett Delong got control of the ball when Donatien Schmitt tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marty Smallwood made a kick off. Jarrett Delong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léopold Parr in the 58th minute of play. Marty Smallwood recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st match minute, Gascons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caleb Hale to maneuver through the defense. Kent Guay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Smallwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Marty Smallwood was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. McConnel AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. McConnel AFC's Jarrett Delong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léopold Parr in the 87th minute of play. When Donatien Schmitt came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Gascons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donatien Schmitt couldn't finish the play. Donatien Schmitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Delong having to interfere. Jarrett Delong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léopold Parr in the 93rd minute of play. Donatien Schmitt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Jarrett Delong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The McConnel AFC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Gascons from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
