Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Gascons's Léopold Parr started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Gascons's zone, Duncan Figueroa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kent Guay came out of the goal and Duncan Figueroa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Thad Walter came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Grainger fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thad Walter couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Grainger getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Duncan Figueroa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Grainger's Cyril Caya got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gascons's zone, Thad Walter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kent Guay came out of the goal and Thad Walter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 played minutes Gascons got a freekick which was hit by Luc Guerrero. Ashley Horton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kent Guay came out and tried to block the shot, but Ashley Horton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 34th minute. The audience was convinced that Donatien Schmitt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernie Middleton was relentless in the 39th minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ashley Horton was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Grainger getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Thad Walter hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Léopold Parr in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernie Middleton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thad Walter in the 60th minute of play forced Gascons's goalkeeper Kent Guay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Donatien Schmitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 67 minutes into the match, Gascons's goal looked a bit too open when Thad Walter came free, but Kent Guay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Grainger defense, Léopold Parr kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernie Middleton. The Grainger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernie Middleton should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Grainger booed when Gascons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luc Guerrero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Grainger's Thad Walter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kent Guay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kent Guay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thad Walter in the 83rd minute of play. If Thad Walter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donatien Schmitt succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 92nd playminute. Tristan Brodeur kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
