Gail Stearns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from August Cardwell in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Neguac's Tracy Martin got a free kick in the 8th minute. Gail Stearns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elden Lajeunesse in the 21st minute of the match. Bennett Hairston hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Neguac's Gail Stearns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elden Lajeunesse in the 31st minute of play. If Elden Lajeunesse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vassar's Elden Lajeunesse got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gail Stearns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from August Cardwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 47 minutes into the game, Filiberto Lajeunesse was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vassar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neguac the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vassar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! Bennett Hairston walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ambroise Gilbert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Vassar's August Cardwell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gail Stearns. Gail Stearns yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Vassar's Stanton Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambroise Gilbert in the 65th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jules Bunch in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanton Palmer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Gail Stearns managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Vassar's Elden Lajeunesse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 81st minute of the match, August Cardwell tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gail Stearns saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a little luck, Neguac's Gail Stearns got control of the ball when Elden Lajeunesse tried to sneak it across the goal line. When August Cardwell, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 86 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Gail Stearns was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 90th minute August Cardwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gail Stearns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elden Lajeunesse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gail Stearns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
