Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ambrose Valle made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darrell Hutton in the 5th minute of play forced Whycocomagh AFC's goalkeeper Hugh Lange to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Ambrose Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Fortier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, McGillivray FC's Burton Wilcox got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute Ambrose Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Fortier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cameron Langelier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Whycocomagh AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Darrell Hutton scored to the left of an out of position Hugh Lange, making the score, 1-0. Cameron Langelier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cameron Langelier received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugh Lange came out and tried to block the shot, but Cameron Langelier slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. Gratien Heath charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gratien Heath the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emil Fortier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clyde Champion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emil Fortier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrose Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Herbert Roark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. McGillivray FC's Darrell Hutton got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Darrell Hutton notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Whycocomagh AFC's Hugh Lange. Hugh Lange was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Clyde Champion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Darrell Hutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cameron Langelier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugh Lange having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cameron Langelier in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hugh Lange saved Whycocomagh AFC from getting behind. Eddie Lereau kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Whycocomagh AFC's Hugh Lange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darrell Hutton in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darrell Hutton in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugh Lange prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emil Fortier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ambrose Valle in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the game, Clyde Champion recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emil Fortier. Clyde Champion showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Ambrose Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Fortier having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, McGillivray FC's Cameron Langelier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugh Lange narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hugh Lange showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darrell Hutton in the 75th minute of the match. Ambrose Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Fortier having to interfere. Ambrose Valles short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Emil Fortier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With an all-out effort, Whycocomagh AFC's Emil Fortier threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ambrose Valle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 82nd minute, Burton Wilcox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clyde Champion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clint Kimball kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. If Darrell Hutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 90 minutes, Darrell Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. McGillivray FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darrell Hutton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 played minutes Whycocomagh AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Lereau. 93 minutes into the match, Whycocomagh AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Darrell Hutton came free, but Hugh Lange reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Whycocomagh AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for McGillivray FC.
