Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Anson's Landon Nix started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Downsview got a freekick which was hit by Larry Denson. After 5 minutes Downsview's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Salvatore Gates who took care of the corner kick. In the 13th match minute, Downsview was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benito Sams to maneuver through the defense. Landon Nix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Nigel Veilleux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Downsview fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Downsview's Paschal Noël looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Barton Werner struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Walker McKinnon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Downsview. If Landon Nix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Downsview's Nigel Veilleux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Landon Nix in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Ahmad Beebe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nigel Veilleux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Landon Nix in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Barton Werner to make the kick off. In the 55th minute Barton Werner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walker McKinnon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Ahmad Beebe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anson fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Landon Nix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Landon Nix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 65 minutes into the match, Downsview's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmad Beebe came free, but Nigel Veilleux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paschal Noël recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes in the game, Paschal Noël fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Walker McKinnon having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Paschal Noël fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Walker McKinnon, passed just outside the right post. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Anson! Downsview's Nigel Veilleux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Landon Nix in the 88th minute of play. If Barton Werner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paschal Noëls short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Walker McKinnon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 95 minutes, Landon Nix made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Downsview's Nigel Veilleux tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Anson's Ray Fagan got a free kick in the 98th minute. The Anson supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Downsview's performance. The match ended with a win for Downsview.
